After reading SteveLehto’s article, on the FP, about that ridiculous car warranty, someone figured out who the dealer was. Naturally I visited the site, twice. Once for kicks, a second time to check out their ridiculous deals. I’ve been spammed ever since with the ads.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I would feel honored, except that; 1. They apparently hate fixing cars over 100k miles and/or 10 years old, and 2. They have no used cars in stock. They have a link for used cars, they also claim they are the biggest corvette dealer in the world, but have no used corvettes? Where’s the fun in that? I always find the used car lot exciting because you never know what’s there.
I thought about calling them up and asking for used car deals on their lot, just to see if they were too lazy to post them online. Of course im not buying, just really curious.

You don’t even have to visit a site to get ads for it. I recently just asked some people about FIDLAR (a band I like which happens to be coming here tomorrow) and now I occasionally get ads for their tour.
Or when I’m bored and Google “how vacuum cleaners work” or whatever and then I get Dyson ads for a week.

It captures data via search results too? Was not aware of that, lol.

Sounds like a pretty boring place if there are just new ones.
Do they just forward the used ones to be sold by some other dealer? I would think they should be getting plenty of used ones from the buyers of the new ones.

I live about 15 mins from this dealership and tried to get an ATS for a customer there. They were horrendous, absolutely refused to talk numbers unless my client was at the dealer. They lost the sale and my customer went up the road.

Similar experience to me, too. They wanted to play all of the “old school” car dealer hey-let-me-take-your-keys games with me, which made me walk immediately.

So they are a prime target for trolling? :)

I was thinking that too. Where do the used cars go?

They probably sell them at auctions to make room and money get to the new stock

Their lease “deals” are pure insanity. 5,000 miles per year. You’ll pay 30-45% of MSRP for the life of the lease, then if you take the purchase option at the end you end up paying a total of MSRP plus $8000-100000. For a 39 month old Vette with up to 16,250 miles on it. If you go over it’s 25 cents a mile.

I know that local car dealers get rid off the “wrong brand cars” with various methods. One fun way was to sell them cheaply to their employees who will either use them or resell them.

Ha, I’m imagine they just buy all these corvettes, don’t sell them often, and they just keep them on the lot. It’s helps make the “biggest corvette dealer” claim more believable.

Ha, it's like they literally hate you!

And you pay for the privlege of them hating you! I hope the salesman dresses in black leather and carries a whip to really get into the spirit of it.

Should I call and ask them if that's standard?

can’t hurt.
